History of Center
The building of Alavi Ophthalmological Treatment & Educational Center were used as school until 1980 and after that date it was used as Alavi Birth Center affiliated to East Azerbaijan Health Organization and it was renamed to Alavi ophthalmological Treatment Center in 1964 and then renamed to Alavi Ophthalmological Treatment & Educational Center. The area of this hospital is 3666m² with 100 fixed beds and 66 active beds and offers specialized and sub-specialized ophthalmological services to the people.
Mission
We intend to be equipped with scientific and academic knowledge of the day and take advantages of the experienced and committed specialists and competent personnel and use modern and advanced equipments and devices to offer safe services and increase the satisfaction level of patients and others who use our services and we want to be known as one of the outstanding and referral ophthalmology centers in Northwest of Iran.
The missions of this center, considering its high potentials, are as follows:
- Offering specialized, sub-specialized and emergency ophthalmology services
- Offering consultation services for preventing eye damages
- Creating healthy competition situation for offering safe services to patients and satisfaction of beneficiaries

Alavi Hospital has three operation rooms and the related equipments and the most advanced anesthesia devices and microscopes. There are three Phaco and Phaco-laser devices and two deep vitrectomy devices and endolaser and also the equipments required for all eye surgeries with premium qualities and famous brands. The experienced and trained personnel of operation rooms assist the surgeons for better performance of surgical techniques.
